What I love...

When I think about the photography that excites me most there are definitely two main genres that come to mind immediately: wedding photography and family photography. 

Why these? 

I absolutely love the buzz and excitement of a wedding day! Whilst some people fear the stress, I believe that a well planned and understood wedding is the key to a smooth running day. I also understand that butterflies kick in so its nice to have a quiet moment of reflection and calm amongst this, I like to think I can read the room and adapt accordingly.

Weddings are such a joyful celebration of love, of bringing your families and friends together, and creating the most beautiful memories for yourself and your loved ones. It is truly a privilege and a joy to be part of such a momentous moment in your life, and I am always grateful to have the honour of capturing the essence of your day, creating lasting memories that you can look back on.

Family photography, bringing together the kids, pets, grandparents, whoever it may be that make up your circle of people that you call family. Now this is a personal one for me, because it’s not something that was heavily invested when I was younger myself.

Now with a little more wisdom on my side, I can see that actually these memories are the things you hold onto. These are priceless- they bring so much joy, to the people that have them: printed, on a coffee table, or on the wall. 

I also always include digital images as part of my packages- my lovely Nan used to save photos onto her iPad and scroll through them, or show her friends when they popped over for tea, and I know how proud she was of us all and how much she valued these. What a beautiful thing to be able to give such a priceless gift for our cherished family members.

Especially in an age where we have camera phones and can take thousands of pictures that hide in a digital camera roll, it’s become more important than ever to create stunning images that are worth that place on your wall.

So what does an experience look like with me? 

With my background as a scientist, I’m very analytical. Attention to detail is key for me, so it’s really important that I get to know you a little before we meet your photo session. My career has been based in Healthcare, I'm incredibly empathetic Admin is done before the day so we can maximise the time from your session! Afterwards, I will advise you when the gallery will be ready. Where possible I do love to surprise and delight with some sneak peeks!

I love to have fun! 

With kids and pets around I want it to be relaxed and I want to capture their true expressions of happiness and joy. You know, the ones that you see when they laugh, when they are playful, and it makes your heart burst with pride.

I like you to have the flexibility. 

As I mentioned before, I’m passionate that photography is an investment into your memories. With this in mind, I like to give my clients the opportunity to go all in with photography packages and receive those images, or to have accessibility through the online gallery with to choose your images and make purchases within six months of your session.

I respect your privacy.

I’m conscious that in the current day, so much of our lives are shared on social media and in the digital world. I understand that not everyone is comfortable with this, so if you prefer, I will not use your images on social media, just let me know and this can be arranged.
